The two lights on each side anchor the peripheral of her vision and whatever is in the center becomes the focus. “Pulled Into the Mirror” is a unique piece within Janey Mae’s collection of recent work, that is a celebration of this practice. To add to the effect, Janey made the two boats identical. From stern to shadow, this piece and its two passengers sit in perfect reflection of each other and in a perfectly spaced position.
