"Held by Moonlight" is a highly detailed surrealist image of an octopus tentacle reaching up through the water towards a glowing midnight moon. The extensive stippling technique around the moon, gives a beautiful glow and contrast to the movement of the tentacle. This piece carries a mood of celebrating light and dark and interaction between sea life and the glowing midnight sky.
